Founded in 2024 in Toronto by Ruslan Kubovych, Pleskach Folk Band is dedicated on promoting and preserving Ukrainian traditional music, with particular focus on Ukrainian dancing music. It consists of wonderful young and talented performers as well as already seasoned musicians. Named after the lively Ukrainian folk-dance Pleskach, the band brings together talented musicians who share a passion for celebrating Ukraine's rich musical heritage. Their mission is to connect audiences to the Cultural roots of Ukraine, keeping ancient melodies, rhythms, and traditions alive for new generations. Through energetic performances and community workshops, the Pleskach Folk Band inspires appreciation for Ukrainian folk music and its role in cultural identity.
