Accessibility

The Ukrainian Culture Festival (UCF) is committed to providing an equitable and inclusive experience for all visitors. The following information outlines accessibility measures in place to ensure maximum enjoyment and participation.

Parking and transportation

  • Accessible Parking: Available at 265 Armadale Ave./265 Willard Ave/265 Durie St. Toronto ON.
  • Wheel Trans Drop Off/Pick-Up Point: Jane Subway Station, Runnymede Subway Station.

Accessible facilities

  • Accessible Washrooms can be found: Armadale Ave/Bloor St. Parking Lot, Windermere Ave/Bloor St Parkette, Runnymede Rd/Bloor St Parkette.
  • Accessible Seating can be found (including for service animals): Northland Power Stage (Bloor St/Jane St.) and Community Stage (Bloor St/Runnymede Rd).

Assistance

  • Festival Volunteers and Staff: are willing and able to assist anyone upon request.
  • Service Animals: are allowed in all areas of the festival
  • Festival Maps and Programmes: are in large type to assist people who have vision challenges however further assistance is available at the Festival Information Booth.

Acoustics and speeches

Acoustics: stages and speeches are at a level that should be accessible to most visitors however if you need further assistance the UCF staff and volunteers can answer your questions.

Speeches & Introductions: Although we are unable to provide sign translations as yet, we will endeavour to assist visitors to the best of our abilities.

Mobility

Festival Surfaces: we have worked hard to address issues related to ease of accessibility on the festival footprint by modifying curbs and other barriers as best we can.

Doors: The UCF is an outdoor street festival however Bloor West Village shops and businesses are open during the festival. Not all doors have accessibility capabilities however UCF staff or volunteers will be pleased to assist at any time.
