About artist

Zolotyj Promin Ukrainian Dance Ensemble of Comwell, Connecticut was created in 1994 by a group of Ukrainian-American parents interested in giving their children the opportunity to learn Ukrainian culture and heritage through dance. Ukrainian dance encompasses the diverse traditions, styles, and costumes of the various regions which make up Ukraine. This vibrant dance group currently enrols over 100 dancers from all over the state of CT from ages 7 to 19, with five dance levels. Zolotyj Promin is celebrating its 31st year of dance. Their artistic director and choreographer is Mr. Orlando Pagan. In their colourful traditional costumes, the Zolotyj Promin Dance Ensemble has enchanted audiences across the Northeast, notably, at MetLife Stadium, Seventh Street Festival in Manhattan, the New York Encounter, the Rochester NY Ukrainian Festival, as well as in Canada at Toronto Bloor West Village Ukrainian Festival. To celebrate their 20th Anniversary, Zolotyj Promin performed to a sold out theater at The Bushnell in Hartford, CT.
