The Zahrava Ukrainian Drama Theatre, founded in 1953 in Toronto, has been a cornerstone of Ukrainian cultural expression in Canada and the US. The name “Zahrava” itself means the reflection of bright light in the sky. Our theatre is the reflection of Ukrainian culture in Canada. Over its 70+ year history, Zahrava has performed both Ukrainian and European classics, earning numerous accolades. The ensemble, currently directed by Josef Terlicki, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine, continues to captivate audiences with its rich repertoire and commitment to Ukrainian heritage. Today, you will see a teaser for the play “Forest Song: A Legend of Love,” directed by Lidiia Semesiuk. The premiere of the play is scheduled for September 22.
