Vykrutasy Folk Band is dedicated to preserving and promoting Ukrainian traditional music, with a special focus on authentic dance tunes, was founded in 2026 in Mississauga by Ruslan Kubovych, with Iryna Holubovska as violin assistant, The name Vykrutasy comes from the Ukrainian word викрутаси, meaning lively twists and complex footwork in traditional folk dancing. Bringing together talented young performers and professional musicians, the ensemble celebrates Ukraine's rich musical heritage through energetic performances inspired by regional folk traditions
