Prolisok is like a delicate spring flower that, after a long cold winter, breaks out from under the snow and gives hope for warmth and sunshine. Its creation in Toronto in 1996 brought a breath of fresh air to Ukrainian cultural life. Talented youth gathered together to give a new sound to patriotic and folk songs that have been sung in the diaspora for years. It introduced the listener to the songs of modern composers. Prolisok took part in numerous concerts in Toronto, Hamilton, London, Oshawa, St. Catherines, Montreal, as well as America and Europe. Olesya Konyk, is the longtime conductor of the ensemble.
