About artist
Roman is a long-time performer within Alberta’s fine arts community as the piano accompanist for the Yavir Ukrainian Male Chorus of Edmonton and as an alumnus of the Volya Ukrainian Dance Ensemble. Over the years, he has volunteered on the UFest Edmonton Ukrainian Festival organizing committee, the Plast Ukrainian Youth Association, the Ukrainian Canadian Students’ Union, and as an election observer in Ukraine. Roman is passionate about advancing the interests of the Ukrainian community in Canada as a director of the Taras Shevchenko Foundation.
Roman is also Manager of Technology Strategy at TELUS Corporation and has been licensed as a Professional Engineer with APEGA since 2015. He currently leads the SmartHome Labs team, ensuring that TELUS delivers the best experiences to their Consumer Solutions customers through the development of next-generation technologies for the connected home and business.
