About artist
Born in Ukraine, Nataliya Halych immigrated to Canada 14 years ago and qualified to become an Ontario Certified Teacher. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Nataliya founded the New Ukrainian Language School (Nova Shkola) in Toronto, which has now accumulated over 315 students. In addition to teaching young students the beauty of the Ukrainian language, history, geography and culture, this school has welcomed many newcomer families who are interested in joining Nataliya’s community of youthful and inspiring teachers and students. She also founded the Language House ESL schools in Mississauga where more than 75 newcomers from Ukraine are mastering English. Nataliya has been an active member with the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Toronto Branch. Ukrainian music, dance and culture are her passion. From a young age, Natalka has seen it as her mission to promote and educate the beauty of what her motherland has to offer.
