Adrianna Medyk is thrilled to be returning to the Bloor West Village Toronto Ukrainian Festival stage this year! Adrianna's steadfast involvement in the Ukrainian community is rooted in humble beginnings, and continues to be inspired by her childhood memories in her great-grandparents’ backyard. She joined the Ukrainian Youth Association at the tender age of 6, spending Saturday afternoons in Etobicoke and summers at Veselka in Halton Hills as a youth member, counsellor and program planner. Adrianna danced for the Barvinok Ukrainian Dance School in Mississauga for twenty-three years and is currently a member Barvinok’s Executive Committee, serving as the school’s Costume Coordinator. In the summer of 2022, Adrianna worked alongside the Ukrainian Canadian Congress - Toronto Branch to act as Master of Ceremonies at a Rally for Ukraine. She also volunteered at Toronto Pearson International Airport on behalf of CUIAS Immigrant Services, welcoming and assisting newcomer Ukrainians who sought refuge from the War in Ukraine.
Adrianna graduated with her Bachelor of Education and Masters of Professional Education, and is now a teacher at St. Sofia Byzantine Catholic Elementary School in Mississauga.
