Maksym Hetmanczuk

Maksym Hetmanczuk is 14 and entering Grade 9 at St. Michael's College School. He plays defence in hockey for the Port Credit Storm and also competes in baseball with the Martingrove Whitesox. A devout Christian, Maks serves at mass at his school with the Basilian Fathers, and enjoys doing the announcements. For his academic and extracurricular accomplishments, he was named Valedictorian for his Grade 8 class. Maks is also an active member of Plast, the Ukrainian scouting organization, where camping, service, and leadership go hand in hand, and where he keeps up the language and traditions he has grown up with.
