About artist
The "Crescendo" Chamber Choir (Toronto)—an award-winning Ukrainian choral ensemble established in 2020—performs under the patronage of the Ukrainian National Federation (UNF) Toronto-West and the direction of conductor Pavlo Fondera. Its repertoire encompasses classical and sacred music, folk songs, and contemporary original works; since 2022, a key focus has been charity concerts in support of Ukraine. Its projects include "Rhythms of Canada" at the Aga Khan Museum featuring Balaklava Blues, the play *Mazepa* with the Zahrava Theatre, evenings honouring Taras Shevchenko, "A Christmas Tale" with the Kryla Choir, memorial evenings for Anna Kisil, Ukrainian festivals, and various thematic concerts. Carrying on the tradition of Oleksander Koshyts, the Crescendo Chamber Choir preserves Ukrainian identity in the diaspora and showcases contemporary Ukrainian culture in Canada.
