About artist
Lida Klufas is a University of Toronto graduate, with a specialist in Women and Gender Studies. She is passionate about social justice and the right to freedom, self determination, and sovereignty. Her studies eventually focused on Disability Studies, with a particular interest in Disability Arts—which she further developed during an internship at a Disability Arts Gallery. She recently worked at UNF Toronto West as a student archivist which allowed her to explore the relationship between culture, memory and community, and to further connect to the rich history of Ukrainian Canadians and appreciate the tremendous effort involved in building this unified community.
